The rulers of Lebanon are refusing visa to the delegates of the International Media Conference!!!

Just the preparation of the International Media Conference has sent shockwaves through the palaces of Lebanese agent rulers

Hizb ut-Tahrir has announced an international media conference in Beirut, Lebanon to mark the sad day of the demise of Khilafah. This is world’s largest media conference in the recent past organized by an Islamic political party which is being organized by the largest Islamic political party, Hizb ut-Tahrir. Just the literature and materials introducing the conference and video trailers has sent shockwaves in the palaces of Lebanese government and their American-French masters. Hizb ut-Tahrir is a legal political organization in Lebanon and there is no legal justification under Lebanese law to stop this conference. Because of this reason, the Lebanese government has resorted to other cheap tactics such as refusing to grant visas to the delegates attending the conference. Lebanese embassy in Pakistan has refused visas to the distinguished politicians from Pakistan who were even carrying diplomatic passports. Moreover, visas were also refused to the top journalists of the electronic and print media and renowned writers of Pakistan. Hizb ut-Tahrir strongly condemns these lowly tactics of the agent rulers and announces to continue its non-violent political and intellectual struggle for the establishment of the Khilafah. Hizb ut-Tahrir held an international Khilafah conference in the 2007 in Indonesia in the Muslim’s world largest stadium. Around hundred thousand Muslims participated including 60,000 women.  Last year we organized an International conference in Sudan over the issue of international economic crisis, participated by over 5000 economists from all over the world. In the same year, Hizb organized International Ulema conference in Indonesia to highlight the obligation of  re-establishment of the Khilafah which was attended by 6000 Ulema from around the globe. And this year preparations for global media conference in Lebanon are in full swing.  In these few years, Hizb has emerged as the only international leadership of the Ummah, fearing which, the colonialist has again resorted to banning the Hizb in different countries. In this regard, Hizb activities were banned in Bangladesh just few months ago. In response to this, Hizb ut-Tahrir announces that whatever steps these traitors ruler may take they will only strengthen the call of Khilafah and the public opinion to implement Islam in the Muslim world. And their master will neither be able to save them from the punishment for their treachery in this world nor would they have any power to help them in the hereafter.

Hundreds of delegates from across the world today attended Hizb ut-Tahrir’s global conference in Beirut, for the restoration of the Islamic Khilafah (caliphate) as the solution to address the many problems affecting the Muslim world.

The conference brought together delegates from Iraq, Palestine, Japan, Sudan, Jordan, Dagestan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia, Turkey and all four corners of the world.

Speakers addressed the issue of the occupied Muslim lands; Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir and how to liberate them. They also addressed the attempts to divide Sudan, the Islamic solution to the global economic crisis, the situation of Muslims in the West, separatism in Indonesia, and the international nuclear crisis including the issue of Iran.

Opposition To Hizb Al-Tahrir Activity In Lebanon, Among Palestinians

The Islamist organization Hizb Al-Tahrir (“The Liberation Party”), which advocates the restoration of the Islamic Caliphate, has announced that its global convention will be held in Beirut on July 18, 2010.

The Lebanese Al-Akhbar daily reports that Lebanese security elements plan to prevent the conference.

According to the Lebanese daily Al-Liwaa, Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’d Al-Hariri has postponed “to another time” a demand by several ministers to discuss revoking the organization’s license.

It should be noted that Hizb Al-Tahrir is banned in most Arab and Islamic countries, and in several Western countries. In Lebanon, it was banned until 2006, but then-interior minister in the Al-Siniora government Ahmad Fatfat, an Al-Mustaqbal party member, permitted it to renew its activity.

Meanwhile in the Palestinian arena, Hizb Al-Tahrir accused Hamas security forces of preventing a ceremony in Gaza to mark the fall of the Ottoman Caliphate, by sabotaging equipment and the hall in which the ceremony was set to take place, and by harming organization activists en route to the ceremony.

In addition, it was reported that the PA government prevented a similar ceremony in the West Bank.

Ministry: Hizb ut-Tahrir event did not breach law
By The Daily Star
BEIRUT: The Interior Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday announcing that the holding of a conference by a controversial Islamist party did not breach laws. The statement said that the Internal Central Security Council decided during its session on July 13 to forward a recommendation to the Cabinet urging it to cancel the permission granted to the Hizb ut-Tahrir party to operate in Lebanon.

While awaiting a final decision by the Cabinet, the council would prevent the party from carrying out any activity if it lacked a permit, according to the statement. However, the statement from the Interior Ministry said that holding meetings inside closed halls does not require a permit.

The party, which calls for the restoration of the global Islamic caliphate, held a two-day summit starting on Sunday at Le Bristol Hotel to discuss major challenges facing Muslims in the world. Security measures were increased for the event after concerns were raised.

On Monday, Energy and Water Resources Minister Jebran Bassil expressed surprise that the conference took place, after receiving promises it would be banned by Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Interior Minister Ziyad Baroud during last week’s Cabinet session. – The Daily Star
